Coach 1318

Owned by Erie Lackawanna Equipment Leasing

Erie Lackawanna Equipment Leasing purchased the car from a private owner in Pine Bluffs, Arkansas, where it previously operated behind Cotton Belt steam locomotive 4-8-4 number 819.

Erie Lackawanna 1318 (DL&W 318), is in very good condition, and had been stored indoors at the museum in Pine Bluffs. The car is undergoing restoration to return it to its former glory. Items to be addressed will include Air Conditioning work, minor draft gear repair, Generator installation, Microphor sanitary system, overhead heat installation, exterior painting, and at some point, reinstallation of the women's restroom and lounge. The car is equipped with HEP.

It is EL Equipment Leasing's intention to restore and place the car back in service. Coach 1318 will again proudly proclaim "Erie Lackawanna", and wear gray, maroon and yellow on its sides.
