Diner 741 Restoration Update - December 2004

These photos of the roof were taken on December
8th. The first photo is of the completed A/C access hatch.
The next photos are all of the kitchen end of the car. Here,
the roof panels have been removed revealing the original rib
supports. 741 suffered the most water damage on this portion
of the roof, and Midwest Locomotive will be replacing any
damaged portions. |

The following set of photos were also taken
on December 8th. Looking at the ceiling in the kitchen area
reveals the known water damage to the car. Midwest Locomotive
will remove the ceiling and roof panels, and repair any water
damaged areas. |

The following set of photos were taken on December
9th. These were taken from the kitchen area of the car, looking
up at the roof. The roof panels have been removed in this
area, as this area suffered the most water damage. You can
also see that some of the rib supports have been damaged as
well. Midwest Locomotive will be repairing these supports,
and new roof panels will be installed. |
