As
you can see from the following photos, taken 4/14/05, all
of the corroded sheet metal has been removed from the sides
and ends of the car. Note some corrosion in the side supports,
which will be addressed. Some work will also have to be done
on the crash posts at the ends of the car. The sills look
OK, except for one small section. A testament to the original
Pullman construction!
After the above metal work is completed, the
car can be prepped for paint. At some point, before or after
paint, we will start on the windows, and have them replaced.
